My joy is to be fully immersed in the narrative process.

As a writer-director, my feature films examine contemporary social issues through a feminist lens. My debut feature, Future Weather, stars Amy Madigan, Lili Taylor, Marin Ireland and Perla Haney-Jardine as a teen conservationist abandoned by her single mother. While in development, Future Weather received the Showtime Tony Cox Award for Screenwriting and three grants from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation for its unique exploration of climate change. It premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, screened in 15 cities nationwide and was distributed on Netflix, Starz, Amazon and HBO Europe. Commissioned by the Science and Entertainment Exchange, my short documentary, Containing Addiction, explores the mind-body connection through two recovering addicts. Most recently, I produced the thriller Claire in Motion (Betsy Brandt, Sakina Jaffrey) which premiered at SXSW.

Trained as an actor in New York and at American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, I’ve performed in classical plays, a one-woman show, experimental theater and on Law & Order. I have been selected for numerous talent programs with Film Independent, IFP and Film Society of Lincoln Center, and I recently received an Ohio Arts Council Fellowship. My projects have been supported by Tribeca Film Institute, Netflix, Women in Film and The Wexner Center. I am currently in development on a psychological thriller about trauma, Iris, with Oona Laurence attached; and a dramedy about the gendered politics of success titled The Imposter.

I am also a seasoned visual researcher, designer and copywriter. Crafted to immerse viewers in story and tone, my decks have assisted award-winning film and television creators win work for HBO, Showtime, Apple+, TNT and OWN. Equally at home with documentary, humor and cinematic styles, I’ve designed commercial treatments for national brands including Toyota, Apple, Southwest, Home Depot and AirBNB, and musical artists like Katie Perry and M5. I live in Columbus, Ohio, with my architect husband and a labradoodle named Gene.
