Stories are my first love. Writing, directing, editing, producing – my joy is to be fully immersed in the narrative process, because it's collaborative, improvisational and full of magic. My debut feature, FUTURE WEATHER, stars Amy Madigan, Lili Taylor and Perla Haney-Jardine (STEVE JOBS) as a teen conservationist abandoned by her dreamer single mom. It premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, and took home several festival honors including Best Feature from the Napa Valley Film Festival. Released in 2013, FUTURE WEATHER screened in over fifteen cities and garnered praise from Roger Ebert and Stephen Holden from the New York Times. It can now be seen on Amazon, Starz and HBO Europe, among others. The script received the Showtime Tony Cox Award for Screenwriting, as well as three production grants from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation for its fresh portrayal of climate science. In 2015, I produced the independent thriller CLAIRE IN MOTION, starring Betsy Brandt (BREAKING BAD, LIFE IN PIECES) and Sakina Jaffrey (MR. ROBOT, HOUSE OF CARDS). It premiered at SXSW and was released in theaters and On Demand in 2017.  After designing my own major in theater and film at Lewis and Clark College, I trained as an actor in San Francisco and New York, and went on to perform with the American Mime Theater and on LAW & ORDER. I have written and directed a one-woman multi-media show and several experimental shorts.  My most recent directorial work is the short documentary editing, CONTAINING ADDICTION. It was commissioned by the Sloan Foundation and the Science and Entertainment Exchange and won the jury prize for the Wexner Center's Ohio Shorts Contest in 2015. One of my earliest (and favorite) movie memories was seeing THE WIZ. There was no turning back from movie magic. I live in Columbus, Ohio, with my architect husband and a labradoodle named Gene.

I've been writing strategic communications for over ten years. Besides conveying the ABCs of your product or service, I can strengthen customer loyalty with content that tells your brand’s story to the audience that matters most. After four years redefining the voice of women's retailer Anthropologie, I began consulting for other brands including Terrain, Xfinity TV and Antioch College. From websites to magazine articles, pitch decks to B2B sales collateral, I write it all. But the most effective copy doesn't just sound right; it has thoughtful strategy at the core. I partner with my clients to identify their goals and ensure all deliverables are built on this foundation. Collaboration is my passion, and I can easily integrate with teams large or small.
